A beautiful 19th century Chinese fan. When opened it is approximately 25" wide and 14 1/2" tall. The sticks are lacquered wood with a scene on both sides painted in gold. The leaf has different scenes on each side. One side features a central medallion of numerous people with ivory faces and silk clothing. On each side of the central painting are two floral pictures.
