Most unusual Amish/ Mennonite Turkey Tracks quilt from Zoar, Ohio. Both palette and fabrics are out of the ordinary. Done in what appears to be an early acetate(?). Well framed by a Fence Rail pattern border. Pristine condition. Circa 1920; measures 87" x 88".
Unique combination of a Cotton Crazy quilt with unusual Stars. Dramatically set in a contrasting grid and border. Excellent condition; terrific assortment of late 1880's fabrics. Measures 72" x 84". New England origin.
Brilliantly conceived and crudely executed Framed Center Medallion quilt. Incorporates Turkey Tracks center and Maple Leaves in multiple borders. Excellent condition. Measures 70" x 84"; Maryland origin. Circa 1870. Definitely one of a kind.
Slightly abstracted Daffodils are very effectively conveyed in soft shades of yellow and coral. Close placement of the blocks creates a secondary pattern of circular wreaths of daffodils. Half blocks meant to cover the pillows. Unusual pattern on interlocking circles quilted in border. Measures 76" x 90". Pennsylvania origin; circa 1920. Excellent condition.
A perfect miniature, wonderfully designed and crafted silk Log Cabin doll quilt, a rare find. Terrific combination of solid, striped and printed fabrics. Much more complex design than usually seen in a doll quilt. Measures 24" square; circa 1920. Excellent condition; Pennsylvania origin.
Unusual combination of Garden Maze with Evening Star patterns. Strong design done in a lovely, soft shade of pink. Professionally laundered. Measures 70" x 80"; excellent condition. Pennsylvania origin; circa 1870.
Miniature Fans are well scaled to this small size quilt ( 47" x 62"). Ruffled border is the quintessential Victorian touch. Outlines nicely embroidered. Very slight damage to one block, visible only with close examination; slight color loss in another but overall, in better than very good condition. Circa 1890; Pennsylvania origin.
Mariner's Compass quilt done in the most typical of eastern Pennsylvania ( Lancaster County, in this case) calico fabrics. Interesting use of the diamond inner border usually seen in Lancaster County Amish quilts. Fabrics are all strong and intact; several very light stains are not obtrusive. Measures 87" square; circa 1880. A well made example of a pattern that is very difficult to execute.
Charming redwork embroidered quilt with motifs of animals, humans, flowers and fruits. Cable quilting in border; crosshatch stitching throughout body of quilt. Excellent condition; circa 1900. Measures 78" square; Pennsylvania origin.
Bold Carpenter's Square pattern quilt that is rather amazingly contemporary looking for it's 100 plus years of age. Excellent condition with one small spot on the red that is in a corner (about the size of a quarter. I've not tried to remove it at it is rather inconspicuous). Solid red fabric on a ground of tiny black dots. Measures 80" square; Pennsylvania origin. Circa 1890.
