Delectable Mountains quilt pattern at its best. Beautiful, unusual softly toned fabrics make this a serene and elegant quilt. Pristine condition. Measures 92" square. Sewn in cross stitch on the back are the initials JS and the number 10. Circa 1850.
At first glance, this quilt pattern looks like an Irish Chain but in fact, it is different. It also takes a moment to realize that the border is actually made of the same squares as the interior but turned on point. Nice variety of deep indigo prints. Interesting Doll Quilt pattern made of rectangles divided into elongated right angle triangles. Nice variety of late 1880's calico prints. Very good condition - has several tiny, tiny holes and some discoloration on three of the pink bars. Measures 10 3/4" x 15 1/4".
This extremely bold, somewhat crude Pots of Flowers quilt was found in California but most likely was made in the South. It is a wonderfully folky version of a type of applique quilt usually done in a much finer form. Excellent, unwashed condition. Measures 68" x 80"; circa 1920.
While not technically a Jacob's Ladder pattern, this unusual quilt is closest to the pattern by that name. Elegantly quilted with wreaths in each of the off blocks. Nice variety of late 19th century indigo prints. Sawtooth border makes the perfect frame. Body of the quilt is in perfect condition; very slight fraying on the binding. Measures 70" x 72"; Pennsylvania origin. Circa 1880.

Delightful Baskets Quilt that combines pastel with some deeper, rich colors. Very well quilted; all solid color fabrics. Backing is a light shade of coral to which the quilt could be reversed to show off the fine workmanship. Excellent condition. Measures 78" x 92"; circa 1920. Indiana origin.
