This is a beautiful example of the much sought after, Delectable Mountains quilt pattern. It is done in a pleasing soft shade of pink. The center forms an Evening Star pattern and it has a wonderful zig zag border framing all. Embroidered in a corner is the name Edna M. Adams and the date 1929. It is the same Edna Adams who signed the Star quilt item # 1238674, although this time she added her initial, making her easier to trace if one wanted. This dynamic quilt is made of a unique combination of Lone Star (aka Star of Bethlehem) and Tulip patterns. The way in which the tulips are placed around the star gives the overall pattern a whole different outline. Continued placement of the tulips in the corners really fills out the entire composition. Signed "Edna Adams 1931" in embroidery. Pennsylvania origin; Measures 74" x 76". Background is a very pleasing dusty rose color.
This hooked rug is made to look like the Log Cabin pattern usually associated with quilts. One can see this rug in several ways; there are five light and dark blocks; pinwheels and hourglasses. Colorful Thousand Pyramids quilt with a wonderful array of 1930's fabrics, many of them feedsacks. The solid color red and yellow sashing as well as the diamond shaped blocks are a strong counterpoint to the printed triangles. Measures 74" square; Pennsylvania origin; excellent condition.

Cheerful Pots of Tulips Quilt with a variety of colored flowers. The pots, or baskets, are all the same pink calico with solid color flowers and stems. Very well quilted. Outstanding, unwashed condition. Made circa 1930's; Pennsylvania origin. Measures 78" x 86".
Light and airy applique quilt of floral wreaths and bows. It is surely a kit quilt but not one I have seen. Oval frames are quilted around the groups of flowers. It is in excellent, unwashed condition. Measurements are 78" x 90". The design allows it to be used vertically or horizontally so it can be used on either a double or queen size bed. Made by Goldie Addie Bussell (dob 8/19/1878) in Waxahachie, Texas. Family history is available to purchaser.
The New York Beauty is a quilt pattern that is always popular and rarely seen. It is a difficult one to execute with the entire pattern consisting of curves and points. This striking example is nicely quilted with feather patterns in the white blocks. Measurements are 79" x 82". Excellent condition; circa 1930.
This is certainly a one of a kind quilt made for the card playing or craps playing gambler. The green fabric is also reminiscent of the top of a pool table.
