Eye dazzling variation of a Philadelphia Pavement Quilt. Pristine, unwashed condition with a backing of Bars pattern in the same red and yellow as on the front. The dark color is green, not black, as it may appear on some monitors. The yellow is typical of "Dutchy" quilts found in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. Nicely quilted with cross hatch in the body of the quilt and cable in the border. Measures 77" x 88"; circa 1890.
Unusual variation of a Lancaster County, Pennsylvania Amish Nine Patch Quilt. The blocks are actually the same throughout, but the arrangement of colors gives the center grouping an entirely different appearance. Floral quilting in the border typical of the 1930's. Made mostly of wools with a cotton back. Very good condition; has a hint of a faded line visible in middle thumbnail photo but no other condition flaws. Measures 74" x 81".
Stone carved face of a bearded man. Features are very convex with the exception of his eyes that are indented. Measures 7 1/2" tall. Difficult to determine age precisely but probably in the neighborhood of 100 years old.

Front is in excellent condition. Border fabric is used for part of the backing. An unusually bold, dramatic pattern. Circa 1870; New England origin. Measures 76" x 93".
Hourglass (aka Bowtie) pattern crib quilt done with a wonderful light and dark design creating strong diagonals. Pristine, unwashed condition. Light weight as it has no batting. Measures 33" x 34". Pennsylvania origin; circa 1880.
