Buckle measures is very slightly curved; measures 2 5/8" wide and 1 1/4" tall.

Elegant pair of sterling silver candlesticks by William Spratling. More formal in design than many of his pieces. Measure 3 1/2" tall; base is 3 1/8" to a side. Excellent condition. Hallmark dates to 1940 - 46.
Extraordinary Sun Face Ashtray by silver master, William Spratling. The only other known example is illustrated in "William Spratling and the Mexican Silver Renaissance". Described as an ashtray but without indentations for the cigarette, it makes an equally wonderful table sculpture or container for small jewelry or change. Measures 4" x 4 1/4" wide and 1 1/4" tall. Ebony and sterling; circa 1940.
Dramatic sterling silver with obsidian choker necklace by Sigfrido Pineda (who signs his work as Sigi). Typical of the biomorphic designs for which Sigi is known. Heavy weight; beautifully constructed. Opening measures 4 1/2" inner diameter. Circa 1950.
Early Variable Stars Crib Quilt done with a nice assembly of calico prints. The center four stars, all in the same materials, form a center medallion. Nicely quilted. The front is in very good condition. Damage to the back, visible in thumbnail photos, does not go through to the front. Measures 41" square. Pennsylvania origin; circa 1870.
Hooked rug with an utterly charming image of a huge hound. Soft colors of the dog are outlined in black. Wonderful huge red nose and piercing green eyes. Professionally mounted on a stretcher that follows the slightly octagonal shape of the rug. Excellent condition; professionally cleaned. Stretcher measures 33 1/2" x 43". Virginia origin; circa 1930.
Extraordinarily rare crewel embroidered Waist Pocket dating to about 1800. Wool on linen with cotton binding. Incredible condition. Unusually bright and colorful. Professionally mounted on stretcher that measures 15 1/2" wide and 18" long. Found in Pennsylvania.

Unique ashtray by silver master, William Spratling in the form of a miniature toilet. Perhaps this was a custom piece for a client with an interest in scatology. Measures 3 1/2" wide and 1 7/8" tall. Heavy and well made. Wood base is probably ebony. Hallmark dates it to the 1960's. Surely there is not another like it.
