Great combination of Bars and Nine Patch Quilt. Extra bonus is the Cheater's Cloth backing, making it totally reversible to a printed patchwork. Nine Patches are smaller than postage stamp size. Each piece is a miniaturized 1/2" to a side. Excellent condition; damage to only one block - visible in last of the thumbnail photos showing the Nine Patches. Terrific fabrics both front and back. Measures 76" x 78". Pennsylvania origin; circa 1880.
Very fine One Patch Doll Quilt in pristine condition. Nice sprinkling of blues blend well with the ivory and terra cotta tones. Well pieced and quilted. Measures 17" square. Pennsylvania origin; circa 1870.
Wild Goose Chase Doll Quilt combines stripes, calicoes and a "conversational" print. Center conversational block is horseshoes, jockey caps and whips. Adams County, Pennsylvania origin; circa 1890.

Early, elegant LeMoyne Stars quilt with chintz border. Wonderful subdued shades of greens, browns and blues. Stars made of numerous closely related patterned fabrics. Hand loomed tape binding. Professionally laundered; excellent condition. Measures 90" x 98". Pennsylvania origin; circa 1850.
Stunning grouping of early 19th century fabrics used to make the triangles of this Thousand Pyramids quilt. Professionally laundered; pristine condition. Lovely soft tone tan chintz border of two different fabrics. Probably in the 19th century, this was quilt was likely made smaller. Only on the back does one see a seam next to two of the borders. This was exquisitely done and does not show at all on the front.
Measures 92" square; circa 1850. Pennsylvania origin.
Lone Star quilt (aka Star of Bethlehem) with fabulous double diagonal stripe border. It is interesting that the border is actually made of the same shaped pieces making up the star. They look totally different, though, when used this way. Professionally laundered; nicely quilted. Measures 80" square. Circa 1920; Pennsylvania origin.
This Pinwheels quilt beautifully combines lights and darks to absolutely twinkle. Anchored by four boldly colored borders. What may appear pink on the monitor is actually a very small red and white gingham print. Pristine, unwashed condition. Lovely variety of solid and printed fabrics abut each of the white triangles. Circa 1890; measures 72" x 74". Each square is about 1 1/2" wide. Frederick County, Maryland origin.
Powerful design and colors of this Barnraising on Square Mennonite Log Cabin quilt. Most Barnraising patterns form a diamond shaped pattern; this is rotated 45 degrees to form concentric squares. The colors could not make this more dramatic. Red, orange and navy show accurately on my monitor; The lighter blue is actually a deep teal. Unwashed condition; cotton. Lebanon County, Pennsylvania Mennonite. Measures 75" square; circa 1890.
Beautifully quilted Touching Stars quilt. Many different quilting patterns, all with the tiniest stitches. Interesting use of color making the yellow centers look like LeMoyne Stars. A classic pattern with a little twist from color placement. Professionally laundered. Frederick County, Maryland origin; circa 1860. Measures 90" square.
