| This is a rarely seen pattern made more distinctive by the name and date of 1897. Made of silk and satins. Six of the large black triangles have some cracking as well as several of the small strips. They could be stabilized with appropriate netting or left as is. They are not likely to worsen if the quilt is used as a hanging. The minimal damage does not detract from the overall impact of the pattern. Border is beautifully worked with feather quilting. Measures 66" x 76"; signed and dated 1897. | ||||||||||
