| Two exquisite roll-up needle "Huswif" (housewife) cases made of exquisite 1820 - 1830 fabrics. Smaller one measures 12 1/2" long and 3 1/2" wide. Pristine condition on front and back. Fabrics I believe all date to the 1820's. Larger example is 17" long and 5" wide. Hand loomed tape binding; a piece of wide silk ribbon remains in one of the pockets. Bound with handloomed tape. Front is pristine; some discoloration on the back visible in thumbnail photos. Fabrics are strong and totally intact on both. Fabrics date close to 1830; both of Pennsylvania origin. | ||||||||||
