| Striking Mennonite Joseph's Coat Quilt with an unusual multiple picture frame border. Very well quilted with overlapping circles. Oxidation to the green is consistent throughout the quilt. Darker rectangle in the brown strip on left hand side is not a repair; it is an original piece of a slightly darker tone. Remarkable that a pattern so like the Washington Colorist school of painting of the 1960's was made nearly 100 years earlier. Measures 88" square. Pennsylvania Mennonite origin: circa 1880. | ||||||||
