A large oil painting possibly painted by an artist in India.Definitely an Indian subject.A portrait of a tradionally dressed Indian woman from western India..most probably Rajasthan.Very skillfully painted.This is a most accomplished work of art.The painter was obviously a colorist and skilled in the use of painterly effects.Signed but not dated I would venture to suggest the painting is 40-50 years old.
