Offered for sale is an absolutely wonderful, 19th century, apothecary pharmacy bottle sporting a colorful, hand painted, glass label marked “SENEGAE.” that came from the former A.D. Pierce Pharmacy in Hartford, CT!! The 8.5 inch tall fluid extract bottle is an impressive sight to see when displayed! There are no markings on the bottom of the bottle. The condition of the bottle is excellent. There is a minor crack noted on the top of label, some paint loss on the (L) and a small chip on the ® lower corner. The A.D. Pierce Pharmacy originated in Hartford, Connecticut, at 914 Main Street during the late 19th century and later relocated to 247 Sigourney Street in Hartford as A.D. Pierce and Son. Posted along with photos of the bottle, is an image of the pharmacy, circa 1960, which is NOT included with the sale of the bottle. |
