An Imperial Guangxu period famille rose lotus cup. This type of cups was gifted to soldiers after their autumn training. It was made by the Imperial kilns. Finely moulded and enamelled as a lotus. This type usually has the Guangxu mark. Although this one lacks a mark, it is Imperial and of the same quality. A fine and rare imperial Guangxu mark and period sacrificial blue glazed cong vase. Of finely potted archaistic square 'cong' form after the Neolithic jade 'cong' and applied with two carved elephant ears on the two sides, covered in a thick, lustrous glaze of an even and warm blue tone.
