A very rare Imperial Qianlong mark and period blue glass vase. This type of blue glass was made at the Palace workshop during the Qing dynasty according to a secret formula. It has vast historical and artistic value. The base bears a wheel-cut Qianlong four character mark within double square. It was probably reduced at the neck but many blue glass vases of this type have the same size and shape. Date: Qianlong mark and period. Height: 14.9cm or 5 7/8 inches; Condition: probably reduced at the neck and base slightly bumped and chipped
