|This is a very rare and large 19th century two colours Burmese jadeite belt hook. Its beautiful natural yellow colour was wittingly made use of in forming the golden li-dragon above celadon clouds (Jinlong Qingyun in Chinese), a rebus of auspicion. It has been scientifically tested by the Hong Kong Jade and Stone Laboratory, the world's authority in testing jadeites and determined to be natural grade A jadeite. Natural yellow coloured jadeite is quite rare. A yellow jadeite snuff bottle is in the Palace Museum, Taipei. It is in pristine condition. It has its own fitted hard wood stand. Date: 19th century. Length of jadeite without stand: 4.7 inches; Height of jadeite without stand: 1 inches. Condition: pristine. Provenance: Christies, London.|
