A fine early Ming dynasty 15th century Longquan celadon lotus bowl. It was covered overall in a thick sea green glaze. Of fine lotus form, the outside decorated with carved scrolling grass patterns in panels and key fret borders, the inside further decorated with lotus scrolls. It was most probably the product of the Longquan Imperial kilns which made Imperial wares. The shape is identical to some early Ming dynasty Imperial lotus bowls.
