| A pair of fine early 18th century Chinese blue and white 'shou', longevity character plates produced by the imperial kilns. Each finely painted with 81 longevity characters, a pun of immortality in Chinese and a 'fu', fortune character in the central medallion in underglaze blue of an attractive tone. The base was inscribed with the six character Chenghua mark in underglaze blue. Daoist ritual wares of public institutions or officials’ homes.
