A Pair of antique 18th -19th century French chinoiserie faience vases, of octagonal body, supported on a short foot, decorated with panels enclosing figures in oriental costumes, and flowering branches in planters. Signed on the base in underglaze “AR” in hand painted blue, joined together, probably Paris or Meillonas.

CONDITION: in good condition, no repairs or restorations, nice age patina.

Details: urn shaped, hand painted with scenes from classical mythology reserved on a dark cobalt blue ground embellished with gold, the handles formed as lion masks signed with blue under the glaze, painted “Vienna” shield mark with impressed gold painted numbers.
