Empire, circa 1800, gold gilded bronze inkwell on black marble base, representing a sitting classical figure of a winged cherub holding in the right hand the flame of knowledge which is made of white bone; in the left hand holding an ink bowl; and on the shoulder is mounted a ink pen holder in the shape of a quiver; the bronze sculpture is executed with fine details and precision.

French naval and land artillery sword probably used by the French Army in America. In the book “Battle Weapons of the American Revolution” by George C.Neumann, publish in 1998 by Scurlock Publishing Co. Inc is a very similar sword, page 314 plate 33.SS. Double-edged blade is 18 ¾ (47 ½ cm) long and 2 inches (5.1 cm) wide. The sword has no markings. Overall length in the scabbard: 27½ inches (70cm). The brass mounted and leather covered wooden scabbard has remaining worm holes.
