African chieftain's ceremonial trident made of several elements highly decorated iron, circa 19th century. The trident originally was mounted on a wooden pole and had not only functioned as a weapon but also as a symbol of rank.
CONDITION: one side was cleaned from rust; the other side is still very rusty.
MEASUREMENTS: Height: 18 ½ inches (47 cm).
