Early 20 century, bronze plaque of Stanislaw Staszic; a priest, philosopher, statesman, geologist, scholar; poet and writer one of the leaders of the Polish Enlightenment (1755-1826) signed by Jozef Aumiller with the stamp on the back of the foundry “Mennica Panstwowa”. “Józef (Joseph) Aumiller (1892-1963)-sculptor and engraver. This example is hand painted with exceptional detail. No cracks or repairs.  Height: 15 inches and 10 3/4 long. The figure is signed by the artist " Markup B." He was designing for Herend between the 1920s and 1940s.  Figurines and sculptures were not prominent in the Herend range in the 19th century, but many such pieces were made in the first half of the 20th century, in accordance with the tastes of the day...

Rare Herend platter with the Queen Victoria pattern dated to 1943, that is during WWII when few pieces were produced. The Queen Victoria is still produced, but this 1943 example is hand painted with exceptional detail. No cracks or repairs. There are small chips on the flowers near the handle. German Scheibe Alsbach porcelain bust of French Napoleonic Marshal Jean Lannes 1st Duc de Montebello, 1st Sovereign Prince de Sievers (11 April 1769 – 31 May 1809), one of Napoleon Bonaparte's closest marshals and a personal friend of the emperor, he was allowed to call him "tu".
