This is a WWII period Katana in Gunto mounts. The Gunto mounts are typical and original. The Tsuka (handle) is 10” long. The Ito (handle wrapping) is very tight and is original, the manuki is as well original, the Same (rayskin) is excellent. The black wooden Saya (scabbard) is 28 ¾” long, with the complete and original hanger. The leather cover is missing. The blade is Ubu (original length) with one punched hole and in good polish. The blade is signed in Japanese characters...

Attractive pair of 19th century Japanese Imari Bowls with the traditional Imari main motif of a blue vase containing flowers at the center of the bowls. Around the inside surface of the bowls are freely painted medallions. The same freely painted motifs appear around the outside of the bowls. This is a spectacular Amphora shape vase with deep rich brawn iridescent glaze. The color is vibrant and vivid. On the bottom is a drilled hole- as in the first half of 20 century old Chinese vases were converted to lamps.
