American Civil War Foot Artillery sword, 1832 model. The cross guard is stamped H.K.C. (Henry Knox Craig) U.S. government military arms inspector 1835-1861. The opposite side of the guard is marked O R D. The hilt of the sword is made of two pieces of bronze riveted on the finials of the cross guard and on the grip.
