A museum-quality antique Turkoman Turkmen silver gilt Quran (Koran) kamea cheikel leather pouch, 19th-century, from the Tekke tribe in Central Asia.

The rectangular brown leather pouch is exceptionally well made by a skilled Turkmen silversmith. It features solid silver, gold-gilded panels engraved with typical Tekke volutes and carnelian stones. The large front panel has five oval-shaped carnelian stones set in raised settings.

A large antique 19th century Indian Hindu temple puja bell or Ghanta the janus handle with figures of the monkey God Hanuman and Garuda. The bowl engraved with two elephants and zebu bull and floral pattern and scrolls.

CONDITION: Showing age and usage, handle slightly bent the figures appear to be well worn from ritual use and handling with nice old patina. In working order - sounds good!
