Exceptional Turkish Ottoman Sword Yatagan, circa 1800 A.D. DETAILS: horn hilt terminating in characteristic ear shaped pommels set with raised corals and mounted in brass engraved with dragons, the recurved blade richly inlaid in gold with Arabic alphabet calligraphy inscription. Attractive pair of 19th century Japanese Imari Bowls with the traditional Imari main motif of a blue vase containing flowers at the center of the bowls. Around the inside surface of the bowls are freely painted medallions. The same freely painted motifs appear around the outside of the bowls. No cracks, but some of the enamel on the surface of the glaze has been rubbed off (see photo). No repairs. Diameter of top: 8 ? inches. Height: 3 3/8 inches
Empire, circa 1800, gold gilded bronze inkwell on black marble base, representing a sitting classical figure of a winged cherub holding in the right hand the flame of knowledge which is made of white bone; in the left hand holding an ink bowl; and on the shoulder is mounted a ink pen holder in the shape of a quiver; the bronze sculpture is executed with fine details and precision.
