Authentic, Imperial Russian, silver hunting beaker, gilded inside, circa 1740. Details: conical, with slightly everting rim accentuated by two chased grooves. Beaker is decorated with three medallions, framed with chased and repoussé acanthus and rocaille motives. One of them is “inhabited” by Eros posed here resting on a compound bow, with a quiver full of arrows hanging on the strap over his shoulder.
