The middle of the blade is decorated with an elaborated cartouche containing inscription in Arabic, “For The Request of His Majesty Siraj ul-millat wa ud-din”. US Remington bayonet with scabbard dated 1917. The blade is 17 inches long, overall length is 21 ¾ inches. The blade is made of steel and the grip is made of wood with two horizontal grooves cut into the sides; pommel has an oil-hole. I believe this bayonet was manufactured for the U.S. Enfield or Eddystone . Scabbard has leather body with steel throat, and drag marked in ellipse GF. Condition; very good.
