Scabbard and the hilt are made of solid and heavy niellooed silver with Arabic calligraphy and floral pattern. Grip applied with raised settings of shaped corals and glass. Well done blade of characteristic Bichaq form with fullers is engraved with Arabic inscription. The dagger with the scabbard is 12 ½ inches long. The scabbard weights 70 grams (approximately 2 ½ ounces).
Circa 1790, French Revolutionary Infantry officer’s sword. Details: hilt of gold gilt brass, helmet pommel, and grip bound with wire, straight single edged blade with fuller and spear point, the forte engraved with trophies and foliage. The overall length is 98cm (38 ½ in). Condition: good.
Attractive pair of 19th century Japanese Imari Bowls with the traditional Imari main motif of a blue vase containing flowers at the center of the bowls. Around the inside surface of the bowls are freely painted medallions. The same freely painted motifs appear around the outside of the bowls.
