Antique Chinese 18th-19th century Qing Dynasty exceptional ceremonial dagger with a straight double edged steel blade cut with a narrow fuller, and a carved green jade hilt of typical Mughal Indian Chilanum form. A slender baluster grip and central knob and plumed bifurcated pommel surmounted by a bud- shaped finial mounted in an oval shaped gilded copper guard. A copper scabbard finely decorated in cloisonné with flowers and foliage adorned with gilded rings and chape.

MEASUREMENTS: The overall length with the Scabbard: 42.5cm (16 3/4 in). The overall length without the scabbard is approximately: 73 cm (28 3/4 in).
CONDITION: The gold gilding is partly worn, the blade is showing some abrasions with very light surface corrosion, otherwise in good condition.
