Ancient Near Eastern Hittite Bronze Horse
Ancient bronze Hittite horse, early 2nd Millennium BC. The Hittites were a Bronze Age people of Anatolia. The Hittites (also Hethites) and children of Heth are peoples mentioned in the Hebrew Bible. They are listed in Book of Genesis as second of the twelve Canaanite nations, descended from one Heth. They are mentioned several times as living in or near Canaan since the time of Abraham (estimated to be between 2000 BC and 1500 BC) to the time of Ezra after the return from the Babylonian exile (around 450 BC).
MEASUREMENTS: Length: 4.8cm (1 7/8 in); Height 3.3cm (1 1/4 in).
CONDITION: One leg of the horse slightly bended otherwise in good condition
