| Rare Museum Quality Antique 17th century Polish gold gilt bronze belt formed of a series of silvered scrollworks links arranged in groups of two between pierced and gilt flower head links bejeweled with ruby red glass and fitted with rectangular gilt bronze panels ,each chased with foliage within a ropework frame set with a small crescent hanger for the dagger suspension. The hinged buckle is formed of two silvered bronze segments adorned with a baroque foliage ornament fitted on the back with a hook and loop closure. REFERENCES: Comparable belt is published in the Thomas del Mar catalogue 30 June 2010, lot 300. Also similar examples of these rare belts are described as 17th-18th century Polish belts in the collection of the Museum national in Krakow published in the book "Pasy metalowe Polskie i obce w zbiorach Muzeum Narodowego w Krakowie".
