Antique late 19th century Victorian Scottish Highlands landscape.
This stunning oil on canvas depicts a romantic Scottish Highlands landscape with field of heather, river scene, and a walking women with child, in the glow of the setting sun, with a majestic castle in the distance. The painting is unsigned, however the frame has a small elaborate brass plaque engraved “MARY”. MEASUREMENTS: Dimensions with the frame: 47.5 cm x 38.5 cm (18 3/4 in x 15 1/8 in). Dimensions without the frame: 33 cm x 24 cm (13 in x 9 1/2 in). CONDITION: In very good condition, no repairs or restorations whatsoever, minor scratches and nicks to the frame.
