SOLD This is a beautiful high quality hand painted porcelain figure depicting the Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, in his famous standing pose with his hand in his vest, wearing his grey coat over a uniform of the Colonel of Chasseurs Cheval de la Garde Imperial. Corners of the plinth decorated with gold Imperial Eagles. A well modeled with fine detail porcelain figure made by a porcelain company founded in 1834 in Scheibe-Alsbach, Thuringia, Germany. Marked on the base in blue with a crossed”S”. Also the dates, with the names of important events from Napoleon’s life, are impressed into the base.
CONDITION: In excellent condition, no chips, cracks, or repairs. MEASUREMENTS: 25.3 cm (10 in) Tall inclusive. ALL ITEMS ARE GUARANTEED TO BE AUTHENTIC ANTIQUES, AND NOT REPRODUCTIONS.
