Antique 18th century Turkish Ottoman Kurdish dagger Khanjar – Jambiya. A curved double – edged Damascus steel Wootz blade, formed with a medial ridge, with a solid Rhino horn hilt, decorated with a white metal domed button (a later addition). In its original wooden scabbard, elaborately tooled in a traditional Kurdish design, mounted with a brass chape and locket.
MEASUREMENTS: Overall length with the scabbard: 39.5 cm (15 1/2 inches). CONDITION: A sign of usage and wear, the blade is lightly pitted overall, with minor wear.
