Antique 19th century Limoge hand-painted miniature portrait, on an oval convex porcelain plaque, depicting an Ottoman Turkish lady wearing a traditional dress. Signed illegibly at the lower right, marked on the reverse with an incised “MR" in a circle and "13". Mounted in its original ornate frame.
MEASUREMENTS: Dimensions with the frame: 22.5 cm x 18.5 cm (8 7/8 in x 7 1/4 in). Dimensions of the plaque: 12.5 cm x 9.3 cm (4 7/8 in x 3 5/8 in). CONDITION: The porcelain plaque is in very good condition, no repairs or restorations whatsoever. The lower right corner of the frame is chipped.
