Antique 17th-18th century Indian ritual bronze figure of Hindu monkey god Hanuman standing on domed square base with his hands folded in adoration, wearing a dhoti, garland and sash billowing down the sides, his tail turned upward to form an arched nimbus.
Height: 8cm (3 1/8 in). Hanuman, the mighty ape that aided Lord Rama in his expedition against evil forces, is one of the most popular idols in the Hindu pantheon.
