Extremely rarea uthentic early 16th Century (circa 1510) period time Maximillian Fluted Close helmet. Skull of the helmet is hammered from a single piece of fully fluted solid steel with two roped combs. The one piece visor with teen horizontal slots Chin-Piece pivoted at the same points as the visor; Neck-Guard of two lames fluted like the scull with turned-under and roped edges, fitted with plume-holder at the rear.All parts of the helmet are authentic except for two rivets on the center of the rosettes which the visor pivots on and the rivets which join the neck guard and the skull, replaced due to corrosion as they are movable parts and are most prone to damage. There is a slight old repair to the chin piece as can be seen on the photos as the chin piece was the most exposed center when attacked by lance. We insure customer of the authenticity of this early 16th Century (circa 1510) period time Maximillian helmet with a lifetime Certificate of Authenticity including the photo of the object, size and weight.
