Antique collection of maritime memorabilia of Captain? in a framed display case including the photograph of the Captain, compass, whale tooth, stylus, button with an engraved anchor, anchor badge, two coins with Chinese writing and a coin with a British ship, part of a hand carved wooden boat, a navigation diary dated 1869 on the course for Boston Massachusetts, and a letter with the envelope dated 1874 stamped N.B with a Canadian 3 cent stamp.
REFERENSES: The item was acquired framed at a local auction and unfortunately I cannot provide any further information as I cannot decipher the writings. This antique display has charm and character and would nicely complement a collection of maritime artifacts. MEASUREMENTS: The oak frame is approximately 20 inches (50,3 cm) by 17 7/8 inches (45cm) and 3 inches (7,5 cm) deep.
