Authentic antique 19th century Russian icon of the Mother of God Iverskya Hodegetria. The icon is finely hand painted on wood panel and encased with the repoussé iron oklad signed in Cyrillic alphabet “Iverskya”.
REFERENCES: This unusual way to encase the icon in iron oklad was usually made in time of war. MEASUREMENTS: 31cm x 24.5 cm (12 1/8 in x 9 5/8 in). CONDITION: the icon is in its original good condition and it has a nice old patina. No repairs or restorations. ITEM NUMBER: R37 ALL OUR ARTIFACTS ARE ACCOMPANIED BY A CERTIFICATION OF AUTHENTICITY
