Antique 18th century Islamic Moroccan Arabian Sword Nimcha. Details: A solid steel hilt of classical shape forged in one piece with three down curving quillons decorated with gold koftgari, the grip is carved from a massive piece of rhino horn with a clear fibrous structure set with an engraved silver collar with a long slightly curved single edged steel blade cut with a pair of fullers. The sword comes with its original green velvet covered wooden scabbard.
CONDITION: In good condition concerning its age, except for partly worn gold koftgari and worn-out green velvet on the scabbard which can be expected from an over 200 year old sword. MEASUREMENTS: Overall length with the scabbard: 98.5 cm (38 3/4 inches), overall length without the scabbard: 94 cm (37 inches), length of the blade: 83 cm (30 3/4 inches).
