Antique 19th century Spanish sword- Epée Model 1844. A brass hilt comprised of a knuckle bow, cross-guard with a down turned shell guard bearing the Spanish coat of arms and the Monograms "G C". A ribbed hardwood grip with an elaborate pommel. A straight single-edged blade with spear point and narrow fuller marked on the ricasso "FAD TOLEDO 1862".
MEASUREMENTS: Overall length: 93 cm (36 5/8 inches). CONDITION: The sword is in good condition considering its age except for minor pitting to the blade and age cracks in the wooden grip.
