This Whiting & Davis Piccadilly fine soldered mesh bag dates to the early 1920's. The purse has an adjustable wrist strap, a tiny mirror, and a great little compartment for lip rouge or face powder. It also features a sapphire colored glass closure on the beautifully embossed frame. The rouge compartment is opened by the pull tag just under the opening compartment, and it can also be opened from the inside. The purse measures just over 8" long from the end of the fringe at the bottom to the top of the frame. Condition is almost perfect, except for a tiny hole in the mesh on one of the sides under the frame hinge, as pictured. The purse is marked on the inside "Piccadilly, Whiting & Davis Mesh Bags, Soldered mesh, Pat'd." This purse would be a great and unusual addition to any purse collection.
