| An Antique carved Chinese Ivory mounted Man/ Sage/ Warrior on a Rosewood stand, the Nobleman or Warrior has a hand to his beard and the other on the sword, reins are delicately carved, the character of the entire carving is exceptional. the Ivory is genuine and has age patination. Now for the damage..two of the horse's legs are missing below the knee, both are on the left side, there is an eartip chip on the horse's right ear, the Warrior figure is missing one piece of the hair on the left side. There is glue residue on the two remaining hooves of the horse, the figure was at one time glued to the stand by the former owner. Acquired in the 90's from an Estate, I intended to have it looked at for restoration but simply never did. He is a wonderfully charming old fellow and deserves a place in someones collection. SIZE: 3-1/4" X 3-1/4" X 5/8". The stand is correct as shown in the pictures. The exact age of this figure is unknown, estimated early 20th Century. The price reflects condition.
