| This is a vintage Sterling Silver Retractable pencil with swivel bail on top, 2-3/4" long x 3/8" diameter. Very thin and the size for a Chateline but the lead holder inside is a brass piece and looks more like the 30's-50's in age. Not certain how this was used but it does work well, front slips out and lead slips in, you twist to extend the lead. Probably used on a long neck chain by Shop keepers to write orders or a fancy Bridge pencil. MARKS: STERLING around the top. CONDITION: excellent no problems. It works well but you will need to add lead. Nice. | |||||||
