| Wonderful Antique Black Silk Parasol,Victorian / Edwardian Era circa 1890-1910, made with a Gilt Metal Handle inlaid with Pearl strips and repousse design, polished wood shaft, silvered metal tip and complete with all spines, working well, attached and in excellent condition. The Parasol even comes with a Black Velvet Bow which may or may not be an original piece. The closure on the top is a metal ring which slips over a button. From an Estate this is just gorgeous and is marked on the Gilt Metal Handle D&H, marked on the metal of shaft as well. The handle also is engraved with initials and appears to be Gold washed, it is not marked with metal content. SIZE: 38-1/2" long, the parasol opens 41" in diameter. Handle knob measures 1-3/4" in diameter and shaft 3/4" diameter. CONDITION: the condition is amazing, there are two very minor bends on the handle knob, some light wear to the wood shaft from use, there is some fading on the outer side of the black Silk canopy as shown in the detail pictures, the pearl inlay is firm and undamaged, lovely piece of genuine Victoriana.
