Hoadley-Thomas 8-Day WOODEN Works Tall Case Clock
Silas Hoadley and Seth Thomas ... were both about age 21 when they bought out a clock factory
to form a partnership but lasted only 3 years ... during this time they built nearly all wooden works
tall case(grandfather)clocks ... the clock cases were grained to copy some of the more expensive woods ... most
of their clocks were 30 hour wooden works but a very few were upgraded to eight (8) day wooden works

THIS CLOCK IS ONE OF THE RARE 8 DAY WOODEN WORKS!!

Hoadley decided to go it alone and sold his interest in the business to Seth Thomas.

Both Seth Thomas & Silas Hoadley became two of the "GIANTS" in the Connecticut clock manufacturing business.
