A rare and very finely 'carved' pair of large Jadeite birds - possibly hawks or parrots - made in China either in the late 18th or 19th Century. Condition: one is in excellent condition with natural flaws which pre-date the working of the stone; the other (which is with a later, carved wood stand) has had breaks to the tail and feet and has a piece missing from the tail. Weight: approx. 900 grams (32oz) each.

翡翠颜色浅绿中带紫,略带皮。清中期约18世纪末19世纪初所做。
品相:一只品相完好,只是有玉料的天然缺陷;另一件(后加木座)尾部和鹰爪部分有修,且尾部断裂部分有缺失。

An early 18th Century porcelain tea bowl and saucer decorated in underglaze blue with overgalze iron red and green enamels in "Verte Imari" style. This item was made in China for export to Europe early in the 18th Century, probably during the reign of the Yongzheng emperor (1723-1735). .For many additional pictures please view item #0637 at our Liverpool shop website at 69aliverpool.co.uk. Bowl: 4cm (1.5 inches) high; 7cm (2.75 inches) diameter. Saucer: 11.5cm (4.5 inches) diameter.

A rare pair of apple green glazed candle holders designed by William Howson Taylor and made at the Ruskin Pottery works in Smethwick, near Birmingham, West Midlands, UK. Both candlesticks have an impressed 1908 datemark to the base. Condition: excellent - no damages and no repairs. 16cm (6.3 inches) high; 11.5cm (4.5 inches) diameter at the base.

A large and very rare Zitan wood and porcelain wall vase with thick deep red glaze and complete with its original lead liner. The porcelain bears the single character "Chun" meaning "Spring". This item was made in China in the Qing dynasty (1644-1911), during either the 18th or the 19th Century.

There are some chips to the inside of the the hardwood mount and the inside of the porcelain; the exterior of the wood and the red glazed porcelain is in excellent condition, with no damages and no restoration.

半圆筒形瓷瓦状,外施一层厚重红釉,配有铅制内胆。瓷瓦内有阴文春字样。做于清代。

A large, and heavy, Stick Stand, ( for holding walking sticks and umbrellas), profusely decorated, in Satsuma style, with a panapoly of historical scenes enclosed within elaborately enamelled textile (?) patterns and surmounted by a large coiled dragon amongst stylized clouds. This item was made in Japan for export to Europe or America during the late 19th or early 20th Century. Condition: there are chips to the rim, some cracks around the base and losses to the head and claws of the dragon. A rare porcelain tea bowl and saucer painted with the "bird on the branch" pattern in under glaze blue and decorated with over glaze iron red and gold in imitation of "Chinese Imari" style. This item was made in the Shaws Brow factory of the Liverpool company, Philip Christian, circa 1765-1778. Condition: excellent - no chips or cracks and very little wear to the over glaze decoration. Bowl: 4.5cm (1.75 inches) high; 8.5cm (3.3 inches) diameter. Saucer: 13cm (5.1 inches) diameter.

A rare underglaze blue decorated Chinese vase, painted in scholar's taste, depicting two hornbill birds on rock-work under a flowering prunus branch. This item was made in the Jingdezhen kilns, Jiangxi province in the mid 18th century, during the reign of the Qianlong emperor (1736-1795). Condition - excellent - no damages and no restoration. 20.5cm (8 inches) high. 稀有不凡的18世纪青花瓶-乾隆 精美稀有的青花瓶,瓶身饰两犀鸟栖息于梅枝下假山石间,品相不凡,具文人气息,系江西景德镇窑瓷,出品于18世纪中叶的乾隆时期(1736-1795)。 品相:完美,无损无修复。瓶高20.5cm。
