A very finely cast pair of bronze vases with lion mask handles and bird and flower decoration and a Chinese Yuan dynasty style background. These vases were made in Japan, for export, during the Meiji period (1868-1911). Condition: there are cracks to the rim on one vase and there is a replacement base to the other.
25cm (9.8inches) high
Weight: each vase approx. 1.2kg (2lb11oz).

A silvered metal plaque, possibly antimony, on a base metal (lead / tin) alloy with finely cast dragons encircling a mythical scene. This item was probably made in Japan circa 1890-1920 during the Meiji or Taisho periods. Condition: there are many casting imperfections to the surface, particularly in the bottom right area: no losses or damages. 30cm (12inches) diameter Weight: 1.5 kg (3.5lbs)

Two brass vases with incised and applied copper decoration each depicting a sparrow in flight and a flowering cherry tree. These items were made in Japan for export during the Meiji period (1868-1911). Condition - both have some impact bumping but no losses and no restoration. 15 cm (6 inches) high.
