An Indonesian Keris / Kriss with Javanese style carved hilt and straight pamir / pamor steel blade made circa 1880 - 1920. Condition - very good - no damages or losses. Total length 17.8 inches (45.3cm). Blade 12 inches (30.5cm) long.

A rare Indonesian Keris/Kriss with very old short wavy pamir/pamor steel blade. The Javanese style hilt has a white metal (probably silver) fitting set with flat back - "rose cut" - diamonds. For similar diamond fitting please see fig 10a, page 385 - "Glossary of the Construction, Decoration and Use of Arms and Armor" by George Cameron Stone, 1934 - pub 1961 by Jack Brussel (New York). Condition - the tip of the blade is missing and there are two chips and an age related crack to the wooden hilt. Total length 19.25 inches (49cm). Length of blade 12 inches (30cm)

稀有印度尼西亚古董克力士佩剑-嵌宝石柄
非常稀有的蛇形刃克力士剑。爪哇风格的剑柄上饰白色金属(可能是银饰)内嵌玫瑰钻。请见1934 年George Cameron Stone 所著"Glossary of the Construction, Decoration and Use of Arms and Armor" 一书第385页图10a,其钻石镶嵌工艺和本品类似。
品相:刃尖断失,木柄上有两处磕伤,有一处因年代久远所致的裂纹。整剑长49cm,剑刃长30cm。

SOLD to Italy February 2009 

An old, probably Malaysian, keris/kris with wavy iron blade. The hilt is of typical styalized garuda head form and has a paktong metal collar. The varnished wood scabbard is decorated with repouse engraved white metal(probably silver) mounts. Condition - good. There is a drill hole (for hanging) to the top of the scabbard and sections have been cut out of the metal mounts on the reverse side. Total length 19 inches (48cm), blade - 15 inches (38cm).
