A very finely carved Huang Yang ("Boxwood") figure group depicting Lu Xing, one of the three Daoist Star Gods. On the back is carved the seal mark of Jing Fu who was active in China during the Republic period (1912-1949) and who was the first student of the famous Huang Yang wood carver Zhu Zichang. There is a very similar carving by Jing Fu in the collection of Wen Zhou Museum, Zhejiang Province - we will be happy to email a link to the carving in the museum on request. Condition - very good - it is lacking its original stand; there are two small chips to the base (back) and an age crack to the left of Lu Xing's foot (please view enlargement 8). 民国时期 黄杨木雕“禄星”像 “敬孚”款
一件雕工精湛的黄杨木雕“禄星”。像背面刻有“敬孚”字样署名。敬孚，民国时期温州人，为晚清著名黄杨木雕师朱子常的大徒弟。温州博物馆有一件与此非常相似的木雕，亦为敬孚所刻。此相似之例的照片，可以在温州博物馆·数字博物馆中找到（如有需要，可提供网页链接）。
品相：很好。缺底座。底部北面有两处小磕，禄星左足有一处因年代久远导致的裂纹（见图8）。如有需要，可提供更多照片。像高17厘米。

A rare wood carving of a dancing girl with arm raised holding a tambourine. This item was made in China, circa 1966-1976, during the Cultural Revolution period. Condition - the tambourine has been broken - no further damage or restoration. 18.5cm (7.25 inches) high.

A rare carved boxwood figure of a barefoot peasant girl holding a scythe and a sheaf of corn made in China, circa 1968 to 1970, during the Cultural Revolution period. Condition - excellent - no damages and no restoration. 15cm (6 inches) high.
